Alaska - part one

Well, here I am in the "cold" part of the world. And, true to its reputation, it's snowed every day :) I'm having a nice a low-key time with my sister and the babies, and it has been so sweet to be with them again. Charlotte is ridiculously smart, and talks ALL the time. Taylor is just a darling rolly-polly fat baby, and I love her. Here are some pics of the girls:

We really haven't done much this trip, which has been so nice. My one big excitement (aside from Pammy and the babies of course) has been getting my hair cut today. It's really different and I'm not quite sure how I feel about it yet. I'll put pics up later.
We also saw a house burn down yesterday. It wasn't anyone Pam knew, but it was still horrible. It was her birthday and we got up early for the best latte I've ever had while we were on our way to watch the bald eagles being fed on the beach. We also watched the movie Enchanted, which is just ridiculous, and had to say goodbye to my mom and "second mother" Connie.
Pam and I grew up with Connie's family, and we both miss them all a lot. Our little sister Julie is getting married in May - which makes me feel SO old since I've known her since she was four! So, all of us are going to try to get out to Michigan for the wedding. There are a lot of people there that I haven't seen in years, and would love to catch up with.
Otherwise, I think my husband is doing OK without me. He had quite the exciting St. Paddy's day, but I'll leave that to him to share. :)
I'm really tired so I'll leave this as is, despite probably being really poorly written.
More later...

yeah hurray! I was banking on the fact that you would write about your trip (and post pictures of your adorable nieces!) I also wrote about my weekend, which is why I didn't get a chance to call you back! I'd love to chat when you get back! Love ya ;)

A title of "alaska - part one" implies that there will be an "alaska - part two"
:)
