Well, hello everyone. Finally finished my spring semester. I'm on my summer break this week, thank God. I had 6 tests in the last two weeks and I am so burned. I was starting to slip there for a while, I wasn't sure I'd be able to pull off the grades. It's been a little tense. :) But now I have a week long breather before I start again. This summer is going to be a bit different because clinicals are 4 or 5 days a week (depending on the week), and the rest is an online class. I have to start studying for my board exams soon too. I have four comprehensive finals this summer that count for a third of my grade. And when I say comprehensive, I mean it... they are the entire program comprehensive. It's going to kick my butt but will hopefully prepare me!
In the midst of my busyness I've still managed to pull through a few books. Just finished One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest. Never read it before and although I thought from the first chapter it'd be pretty much the most depressing book I've ever read, I was pleasantly surprised. I'm in the middle of another thought-provoker that I'll post a blog on that later this week. I'm still ruminating it around for a while.
Otherwise, life is pretty good. I'm going to see my sister in three weeks. Hopefully baby #2 will have arrived. I'd be bummed to miss it. Jeff and I are also planning a couple trips this fall, one to CA and a family trip, destination still TBD (I'm hoping for South Europe, Greece, Turkey.... but New Zealand is another option).
Jeff and I just purchased the Planet Earth series. It's extremely well done and super fun to watch. My one complaint is that they seem a bit fixated on the poles, the Himalayan mountains and elephants. There's a bit of repeat in some of the footage. But it's still well worth watching.
I think both Jeff and I have been in a bit of a "funk" lately. It seems we're both pretty restless right now. Just waiting to get out of this rut we've been in for the past 6 months. I'm ready, more than ready, to be done with school and he desperately needs to find a different job. Please pray for us. The good thing is that through it we've grown a lot in our relationship. In case you didn't know... my husband is the coolest, ever. :) He's the most selfless, humble person I've ever met. He totally convicts me all the time just by being himself (which is a good thing, not a bad thing). Not to get mushy or anything... I just love him.
I'm going to try to get caught up with everyone this week, since I have a chance to say hello finally. Hopefully you'll hear from me. Love you guys!! I'll write more later...
